    Hi,

I have a few questions about using the EWS64 XL soundcard with Cubase VST r3.6:

    a) can I use both analogue inputs (EWS IN-1 and IN-2)? I can use both outputs in Cubase, giving me 'Master' and 'Bus2', but in Audio/Input I can only select 'EWS IN-2', left and right. Why cannot I select EWS IN-1 (left and right)?

    b) when I try to multi record I can only setup (= arm) two audio tracks at once. Is this because I can only select two inputs? I want to record more than 2 audio tracks at once...

I'm trying these things with the ASIO beta 3 driver, but when I change it to the DirectX or Multimedia drivers I get the same result frown

    Thanks for any help,

    Mutsi

    A) Dunno for sure (can't get the ASIO working on my set) Should be able to. Have you set the control panel out-1 switch to "a"?
    b) You can only select different inputs for multirecord. Therefor you should set different audiochannels to different inputs Given that you have selected both inputs in the audio/inputs menu, go to the audio/monitor. There, above the sliders, you can see the input drivers (1-R and 1-R) Press ctrl (or alt, not sure) and click on the input driver. Than, f.e., select for audiotrack 3 and 4, input 2-L and input 2-R. Now you've set the first 4 channels to differents in-s and can record on all 4 (and play midi at the same time offcourse :-)
